Meet the Team Behind Space Shop Self Storage: The People Who Power Your Storage Experience
At Space Shop Self Storage, great service starts with great people.
Across every location, our team works behind the scenes and on-site to make storage simple, secure, and easy to navigate. Whether you’re moving, reorganizing, or just need extra space, the experience is shaped by the people you interact with along the way.
This month, we’re highlighting some of the people behind Space Shop — team members who play an important role in supporting our communities and creating a great experience for every customer.
Meet Cliff Hite, President of Space Shop Self Storage

Cliff Hite helps guide the overall direction of Space Shop Self Storage, with a focus on growth, consistency, and creating a straightforward experience for customers across every location.
From expanding into new markets to maintaining high standards across properties, his leadership plays a key role in how Space Shop operates today.
For Cliff, the focus is simple.
“My vision for Space Shop is pretty simple. We want to keep growing the right way while making sure our facilities are clean, secure, and well run. Storage is usually something people need during a move, a life change, or when they already have a lot going on, so our job is to make that process as easy and straightforward as possible.”
At its core, Cliff sees great storage as getting the fundamentals right.
“To me, a great storage experience comes down to doing the basics well. Keep the facility clean, make access simple and secure, communicate clearly, and have people on site and behind the scenes who care about helping the customer.”
As Space Shop continues to grow across multiple states, that focus remains the same — clean, secure facilities and storage solutions that are easy to use from start to finish.
Meet Heather Chapman, Regional Manager
As a Regional Manager, Heather Chapman works closely with teams across multiple areas, helping ensure that each location operates smoothly and delivers a consistent experience.

Her role connects day-to-day operations with broader company goals, supporting both District Managers and on-site teams.
For Heather, supporting teams starts with creating a culture of communication and collaboration.
“My goal is to create a collaborative environment where every team feels supported, engaged, and equipped to deliver exceptional results regardless of location.”
She also focuses on maintaining consistency across multiple markets through clear expectations, training, and accountability.
“Consistency across multiple locations starts with establishing clear expectations, standardized processes, and a culture of accountability.”
At the end of the day, Heather believes great operations should lead to a great customer experience. “A strong customer experience is one where every interaction is welcoming, seamless, and solution-focused from the moment a customer walks through the door until their needs are fully met
Meet Our District Managers
District Managers play a key role in supporting individual locations while keeping the overall experience consistent across the board.
They work closely with Storage and Property Managers to make sure operations run efficiently and customers feel supported from move-in to move-out.
What District Managers focus on:
- Supporting and mentoring on-site managers
- Maintaining consistent service across locations
- Overseeing operations and property performance
- Helping troubleshoot challenges and improve processes
Meet Lexi Nieves, District Manager
📍 Greater South Atlanta

Lexi Nieves works across multiple locations, supporting on-site teams and helping ensure a consistent experience for customers.
For Lexi, everything starts with the team.
“Great teams create great experiences. If my teams feel confident and supported, our customers feel it too.”
A big part of her role is making sure that consistency shows up across every location — not just in standards, but in the day-to-day experience.
“Consistency starts with clear expectations and strong communication. I work closely with store teams to ensure processes are standardized; training is thorough, and everyone understands the ‘why’ behind what they do.”
She stays closely connected to her locations through regular site visits, performance reviews, and ongoing coaching — using feedback and data to keep improving operations over time.
She also sees firsthand where customers need the most support.
“Customers often feel overwhelmed when choosing the right unit size or navigating the rental process. Timing issues—like needing immediate access or coordinating move-ins—can also create stress.”
Meet William Doyle, District Manager
📍 Greater North Atlanta

William Doyle brings a hands-on approach to supporting multiple locations, with a focus on communication, team development, and removing obstacles for his team.
“Be available and approachable to provide guidance and support. Communicate clearly and frequently. More is more here. Welcome mistakes as these are opportunities to learn from and evolve moving forward. Recognize and celebrate achievements often. My goal is to clear the roadblocks for my team so that they can sprint to the finish line.”
He also emphasizes what truly makes a difference at the property level.
“The key factor that makes a location stand out is the team. These are the front-line faces of our organization. Our customers gravitate to our team. Without a great site team, it’s just a storage building. Our facility teams are the key factor that help us standout from just being another place for storage.”
Meet Our Property Managers
At the facility level, Property Managers are the people who keep everything running day-to-day.
They work directly with customers and are often the first point of contact when someone visits a Space Shop location.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Keeping the property clean, secure, and well-maintained
- Helping customers choose the right storage unit
- Assisting with move-ins and account questions
- Managing daily facility operations
They also help guide customers using tools like our
👉 storage unit size guide
and recommend options like
👉 climate controlled storage units
when items need extra protection from heat or humidity.
While teams may change over time, this role remains consistent across every location — making sure customers have a straightforward, dependable experience whenever they visit.
A Team Effort Across Every Location
While roles vary across Space Shop, every team member contributes to the same goal: making storage simple.
That shows up in:
- Clean, well-maintained facilities
- Secure environments customers can trust
- Flexible, easy rental options
- Helpful support at every step
Whether you’re reserving online or stopping by in person, that consistency is what makes the experience feel seamless.
More Than Just Storage
For the Space Shop team, storage is about more than just space.
It’s about helping people through real-life moments, like:
- Moving into a new home
- Downsizing or reorganizing
- Growing a business
- Navigating unexpected changes
That perspective shapes how the team approaches every interaction — with a focus on making things easier.
